I'm Andy Robinson, a Vedic Meditation teacher based in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
Originally from Britain, I’ve practiced Vedic Meditation for over 15 years, and I am delighted to teach it to students in New York and London.
Our non-religious meditation technique is a deeply powerful, yet effortless process which benefits body and mind by removing daily and accumulated stresses in the physiology. Once we begin to remove stress, we unlock hidden resources of sustainable contentment, empower greater health and longevity, and enable new heights of performance and creativity.
I’m honored to be a protégé of Thom Knoles, who is recognized in India as Maharishi Vyasananda Giri Ji. Our teachings and techniques are rooted in the Veda, the knowledge of which forms the foundation of all major Eastern philosophies and faiths. Vedic meditation has been taught by masters of our tradition for over 5,000 years.
In 2024 I became one of the few Westerners to be initiated into the Shankaracharya tradition, the oldest and highest knowledge tradition in India receiving permission to teach from Yogiraj, Swami Kailashanand Giri Ji, Acharya of the Niranjani Akhada.

Effortless meditation to relax and restore
"The mind is like an ocean, and, as in an ocean, the surface layers are active in waves and the deeper levels are silent."
When you learn Vedic Meditation you will receive an individualized mantra, and the ancient technique of how to use it. This sound, when repeated quietly, effortlessly, allows the mind to achieve its most rested, subtle state.
Once the mind has reached this state, the body enters into deep relaxation, beginning a series of restorative processes to unwind the effects of accumulated stress within the physiology.
With regular practice, you will experience greater health, clarity of thought, increased efficiency in work, more loving and rewarding relationships, and more overall contentment in your life.
Practiced for 20 minutes, twice-daily, Vedic Meditation is absolutely effortless.
